Daily Routine

Today I read The Green Product Junkie's daily routine (which I loved by the way) and realized its been a while since I did one, so naturally I was excited to share this as my products change all the time when I come across new ones.

First thing in the morning before eating or drinking I oil pull, with either coconut oil or sesame oil, for 20 minutes. Once I've eaten I brush my teeth with activated charcoal powder and I finish by rubbing my gums with a little coconut oil then wait at least 30 minutes before eating.

I usually just splash my face with warm water in the morning, no cleanser, and spray with a little toner, Pukka Herbs Rosewater Toner is my absolute favorite but I also like to use Acure Organics  Rose + Red Tea Toner sometimes. As far as moisturizing goes I tend to just use coconut oil but some days when my skin needs something lighter I use  Sukin Organics Facial Moisturiser.

I'm not a big user of sunscreen (bad I know) but I apply Kora Organics Tinted Day Care Cream which doubles as spf and a beautiful light base that makes my skin glow. Generally I don't wear makeup everyday because I like to go natural but on days when I feel like prettying myself up a bit I wear rms beauty lip2cheek in Muse on my eyes because I like the natural-but-better look it gives, followed by rms beauty Living Luminizer applied to my cheekbones, brow bone, and cupids bow. I use Couleur Caramel Mascara for Long Lashes in Brown daily because it's amazing what a bit of mascara can do for you and this one is perfect.

I have so many different lip balms and glosses that I switch between but lately I have been reaching for Burt's Bees Tinted Lip Balm in Pink Blossom or rms beauty Lip Shine in Bloom. When I just want some moisture without the color I go for Suvana Beauty Paw Paw & Honey Organic Lip Balm.

On the odd occasion when I do need to be a bit more fancy, I use rms beauty "un"-cover up in 11 as a foundation because it conceals imperfections as well as making a great base and I add a bit of eyeliner and blush. I like the Couleur Caramel and Honeybee Gardens eyeliners, and for blush's I turn to Vapour Organic Beauty or rms beauty.

I almost always go for nudes, baby pinks and peaches.

After experimenting with powders for a while I have moved away from them and prefer to use cream based products because I prefer the glowing, dewy look.

At night I'm currently switching between Sukin Cream Cleanser and Acure Organics Gel Facial Cleanser, depending on the day, and if I need a little more oomph I remove makeup with coconut oil.
After cleansing I spray toner all over my body, I just love the fresh feeling, then rub a few drops of Trilogy Rosehip Oil into my face, neck, and chest while its still moist as this helps it spread and follow with either coconut oil or Sukin Moisture Restoring Night Cream which  again, depends on the day and how my skin is. I moisturise my body with coconut oil or one of the Acure Organics Body Lotions, I love them all.

Other things I do which I believe help with my 'beauty' routine are using Australian Bush Flower Essences 'Womens Essence', meditating or chanting as I go to sleep and daily walks. I tend to be easily irritated so doing these peace-inducing, relaxing things helps my skin from flaring up out of stress.

Lily Lolo

First of all, I'm very sorry for the absence, I have hit a rough patch and haven't really had the motivation to do anything, but I am back and will hopefully be posting regularly again.

Last week I recieved my order from Lily Lolo and I am very happy with the products I chose. I have been wanting to purchase some of their products for a while now, but thought I should probably use up some of the ones I have first, so I was like a kid in a candy store when I finally got to. But, sadly, I had to restrain myself and just buy a few things to try.

Sadly, I picked the worst day to start posting as the weather is crap and the photo's arent very good quality, so I may have to add them in at a later time.

I purchased a full sized Mineral Blusher in Cherry Blossom, a full sized Eye Colour in Honey Peach, and sample sizes of Mineral Foundation In The Buff, Mineral Foundation Popcorn, Finishing Powder Flawless Silk and Mineral Shimmer Stardust.
I also purchased the Super Kabuki and I recieved a free Eye Blending Brush.

I love the little frosted pots that the full sized products come in, and the twisty click lid inside the blush is awesome, I haven't seen that in any other loose powder containers before.

Cherry Blossom Blush: I love love love the colour of this, although i'm not really a fan of the shimmer, which, yes I knew it was shimmer when I bought it, but it just doesnt suit me. Or maybe I don't know how to apply it properly. Either way, I will keep using it because the colour is great. It is a nice peachy colour with a candy pink type shimmer to it. Perfect.
Mica (CI77019), May Contain: Iron Oxides (CI77491, CI77492, CI77499) Titanium Dioxide (CI77891), Ultramarine Blue (CI77007)
Honey Peach Eye Colour: Another perfect colour. I think I buy way too many nude/peachy/skintone shades but I can't help it, they suit me so well. This is a beautiful sandy peach colour with a slight golden shimmer to it.
Mica (CI77019), May Contain : Titanium Dioxide (CI77891), Iron Oxide (CI77491, CI77492, CI77499), Chromium Oxide (CI77288)

Mineral Foundations: I really like the foundation's from Lily Lolo, they actually blend in really well and give a nice flawless, even look. In the Buff is too dark for me but Popcorn is perfect.
Mica (CI77019), May Contain: Titanium Dioxide (CI77891), Zinc Oxide (CI77497), Iron Oxides (CI77491, CI77492, CI77499)

Finishing Powder Flawless Silk: This is a really nice product to finish with as it just illuminates the face nicely, giving a fresh finish.
Mica, (CI77019), Iron Oxides ( CI77491, CI77492)

Mineral Shimmer Stardust: Such a nice product. I actually don't use this on my face, but rather as a body shimmer. It doesn't really have any tint to it, so it gives a beautiful glow which is nice for going out. I also read a comment on the Lily Lolo website, where someone said they mix it with moisturiser...that sounds like a good idea to me.  I will deifintely be buying a full size of this.
Mica (CI77019), May Contain: Titanium Dioxide (CI77891), Iron Oxides (CI77491, CI77492, CI77499)
I really like the brush's too. The Kabuki is just so much easier to use than the long handled EcoTools brush I was previously using for my powders, and it is so dense. The Eye Blending brush is also really dense and somewhat stiff compared to EcoTools but again, a great brush.

{Cherry Blossom, Honey Peach, In The Buff, Popcorn, Flawless Silk, Stardust}

I would love to try some more of their eyeshadows so if anyone has suggestions on good colours let me know :)

Be Mine

Today I wanted to do a Valentine's Day inspired look, and I think it turned out surprisingly well. Sorry for the bad lighting, the weather is being very un-summery lately and these were the best shots I could get.
To start with I cleansed and moisturised my face with some coconut oil, then applied  Alima Pure Semi Matte Foundation in Neutral 3.

I then applied rms beauty "un" cover-up in 11 under and on the inner corner of my eyes to lighten them.

Next I applied a line of Madison Street Beauty eyeshadow in Redcurrent (deep pinkish red) along my upper lashline, going thick at the outer corner with a slight wing, then used Madison Street Beauty eyeshadow in Cherry Blossom (medium pink and one of my favourite eyeshadow's) over my lid, blending to just above the crease and to the tip of the wing. I then dabbed a little Alima Pure Luminous Shimmer Eyeshadow in Dream in the inner corner to brighten my eyes more, blending it into the pink a little.

I applied a thin layer of Larenim Mascara in Black, only to define my eyelashes, not making them to overpowering, and lined the waterline's with Couleur Caramel Eye and Lip Pencil in White.

Next I took a little bit of Alima Pure's Luminous Shimmer Blush in Freja to the apples of my cheeks, just enough for a subtle flush of colour.

Lastly I applied a light layer of Vapour Organic Beauty Aura Multi Use in Spark to my lips followed by a few dab's of Neal's Yard Lipgloss in Clear, then I blotted my lips to make it seem more like a natural tint to my lips.

I wanted to go for a subtle flush of colour and I think this look hit that goal perfectly, a look I may just go for on Valentine's :)

(sorry for the terrible angle, I was trying to capture the colour's better)

Makeup:

Hair:

Other:
Faulding Epsom Salts (from Coles)

The Fig and Rouge balm is actually a lip and skin balm, but I use it as a lip balm. It is a great product and the smell is amazing.

Couleur Caramel

Today I got my parcel of goodies from Inspired Wellbeing and I am really happy with my purchases.
I ordered a few products from Couleur Caramel which is a brand i hadn't previously tried, but a little birdy told me their masscara was amazing so I thought i'd give it a go.
Let me just say it is amazing. I have the most sensitive eyes, to the point where I dont wear mascara usually because I end up blinking furiously from the irritation, but this is amazing. My eyes are not irritated in the least bit and it doesn't go all clumpy and yuck.

I chose the mascara for long eyelashes in brown and it looks great. I was blessed with naturally long eyelashes but with this mascara on they just look, well almost false. The brush it comes with is incredible, it seperates your lashes and evenly coats them all. This is definitely a product I will continue to buy.
I also got three eye and lip pencils in the colours chocolate brown, white and pink.
Like the mascara, these pencils are completely non-irritating to my eyes and the colours and so vivid which is a really nice change. They are creamy too, not dry and annoying to put on. The first time I went to use it I did need to twirl it over my skin though, i'm not sure if the pencil needed to be warmed so to speak to start working, but it was almost as though it had a layer that needed to be wiped off first. Anyways, now, it goes on beautifully straight away with a nice rich colour. It seems to stay put also.

The pencil's were $5.65 each and the mascara was $8.93. great prices for amazing products.
