Acure Organics pt.1

I figured it was about time I did my reiews on the Acure Organics products I purchased a while ago, so today i'll be reviewing the Superfruit + Chlorella Growth Factor Gel Facial Cleanser and the Moroccan Argan Stem Cell + Chlorella Growth Factor Brightening Facial Scrub.

Although I have dry skin, I purchased the gel cleanser which is for combo to oily skin, purely because the cream cleanser was out of stock and i'm impatient. It has an unusual smell to it which I can't quite put my finger on (slightly citrus-y, but with soemthing else), and it is pretty intoxicating if you take a deep breath while washing your face, but it's not a bad smell at all. As I said, my skin is rather dry, this cleanser didn't overly dry out my skin, but I did have to use a little bit more moisturiser than I usually would. I do think I will need to use something else as the weather gets cooler though.

$12.94 for 120ml from iHerb.com

Organic Curoxidant Blend (Organic Acai Berry, Organic Blackberry, Organic Rosehips, Organic Pomegranate, Organic Calendula officinalis, Organic Chamomile, Fair Trade Certified™ Organic Rooibos, Lauryl Glucoside (vegetable derived), Decyl Glucoside (sugar soap), Fair Trade Certified™ Organic Olive Oil, Organic Chlorella pyrenoidosa (Chlorella Growth Factor), Glucono Delta Lactone (fermented sugar), Potassium Sorbate (food grade preservative), Lemon Essential Oil, Citric Acid

The scrub is one of the best I have come accross so far. It is a very thick, almost dry product with very noticable granules which do a great job of removing dead skin cells and it really does brighten your skin. It is very decieving when you first squeeze some into your hand, but once you add a bit of water, it really spreads out. Probably not so good for those with sensitive skin as the granules are a bit rough and can irritate if you are heavy handed even in the slightest. I love that it is a deep green colour, really makes it seem that much more luxurious when using it, as for the smell, there isn't really much of one.

I love everything about this brand. The products are affordable, they are 100% natural and made with Certified Fair Trade Ingrediants, some are also Certified Organic, and none of the products are tested on animals.

The two products reviewed above also last a long time, a little really does go a long way with these so they would be a great option for someone wanting to get the most for their money.

Alima Pure Swatches

Many many months ago I purchased some samples of Alima Pure and completely forgot to do a post on them so I thought I should get onto it.

{Satin Matte Foundations: Neutral 2, Neautral 3, Cool 3}

{Belize Bronzer, Luminous Shimmer Blush: Freja, guava, Plush, Satin Finishing Powder Keiko, Luminous Shimmer Eyeshadow Dream}

I also got a Satin Matte Foundation in Cool 4 but I have used it so I couldn't swatch it ~_~

The Belize bronzer and Dream eyeshadow were actually free which was nice, I honestly haven't used the bronzer though, i'm a bit scared to think of what I would look like if I even tried haha.

I have used the Freja blush the most, it's a nice soft shade, but the others are nice too. Dream is a good colour for highlighting the eyes.

Neutral 3 and Cool 3 also suited my skin tone with just a tiny bit of difference.

Lily Lolo

First of all, I'm very sorry for the absence, I have hit a rough patch and haven't really had the motivation to do anything, but I am back and will hopefully be posting regularly again.

Last week I recieved my order from Lily Lolo and I am very happy with the products I chose. I have been wanting to purchase some of their products for a while now, but thought I should probably use up some of the ones I have first, so I was like a kid in a candy store when I finally got to. But, sadly, I had to restrain myself and just buy a few things to try.

Sadly, I picked the worst day to start posting as the weather is crap and the photo's arent very good quality, so I may have to add them in at a later time.

I purchased a full sized Mineral Blusher in Cherry Blossom, a full sized Eye Colour in Honey Peach, and sample sizes of Mineral Foundation In The Buff, Mineral Foundation Popcorn, Finishing Powder Flawless Silk and Mineral Shimmer Stardust.
I also purchased the Super Kabuki and I recieved a free Eye Blending Brush.

I love the little frosted pots that the full sized products come in, and the twisty click lid inside the blush is awesome, I haven't seen that in any other loose powder containers before.

Cherry Blossom Blush: I love love love the colour of this, although i'm not really a fan of the shimmer, which, yes I knew it was shimmer when I bought it, but it just doesnt suit me. Or maybe I don't know how to apply it properly. Either way, I will keep using it because the colour is great. It is a nice peachy colour with a candy pink type shimmer to it. Perfect.
Mica (CI77019), May Contain: Iron Oxides (CI77491, CI77492, CI77499) Titanium Dioxide (CI77891), Ultramarine Blue (CI77007)
Honey Peach Eye Colour: Another perfect colour. I think I buy way too many nude/peachy/skintone shades but I can't help it, they suit me so well. This is a beautiful sandy peach colour with a slight golden shimmer to it.
Mica (CI77019), May Contain : Titanium Dioxide (CI77891), Iron Oxide (CI77491, CI77492, CI77499), Chromium Oxide (CI77288)

Mineral Foundations: I really like the foundation's from Lily Lolo, they actually blend in really well and give a nice flawless, even look. In the Buff is too dark for me but Popcorn is perfect.
 Mica (CI77019), May Contain: Titanium Dioxide (CI77891), Zinc Oxide (CI77497), Iron Oxides (CI77491, CI77492, CI77499)

Finishing Powder Flawless Silk: This is a really nice product to finish with as it just illuminates the face nicely, giving a fresh finish.
Mica, (CI77019), Iron Oxides ( CI77491, CI77492)

Mineral Shimmer Stardust: Such a nice product. I actually don't use this on my face, but rather as a body shimmer. It doesn't really have any tint to it, so it gives a beautiful glow which is nice for going out. I also read a comment on the Lily Lolo website, where someone said they mix it with moisturiser...that sounds like a good idea to me.  I will deifintely be buying a full size of this.
Mica (CI77019), May Contain: Titanium Dioxide (CI77891), Iron Oxides (CI77491, CI77492, CI77499)
I really like the brush's too. The Kabuki is just so much easier to use than the long handled EcoTools brush I was previously using for my powders, and it is so dense. The Eye Blending brush is also really dense and somewhat stiff compared to EcoTools but again, a great brush.

{Cherry Blossom, Honey Peach, In The Buff, Popcorn, Flawless Silk, Stardust}

I would love to try some more of their eyeshadows so if anyone has suggestions on good colours let me know :)

Honeybee Gardens Truly Natural Lipstick Swatches

These are the other swatches I ordered from bewellstaywell.com, all Honeybee Gardens.

I have grown to love Honeybee Gardens, especially their lipsticks, they have the most creamy texture and amazing colours, and the lipsticks are also very hydrating.

Soft Kiss: I think my attraction to barbie pink lipstick's is becoming dangerously obsessive, none the less, this color is amazing! To me this colour is the girlie version of Karma, I will be buying this for sure.

Valentine:  Another barbie pink but this one has a slightly mauve-ish hint to it. I definitely think I will be purchasing this one also.

Celestial: It's really hard to explain this colour...I guess its a deep champagne type shade with brownish hints.

San Fransisco: Similar to Celestial but with a more mauve-ish hint.

Paradise: This one is a perfect mix of both Celestial and San Fransisco, with brown and mauve hints to it.

Burlesque: I am so dissapointed with how this shade turned out in the photo, the actual shade in real life is one of the most amazing colours I have ever seen in a lippy. It's a deep fuschia type colour, I have to buy this.

Desire: The perfect red. I was unsure when I first opened the pot to this, as it appears really dark, but once applied this colour lightens out, again, the picture doesn't quite do this shade justice. This is the type of colour that would go perfect with winged eyeliner, a loose updo and an LBD.

{T-B, L-R: Soft Kiss, Valentine, Celestial, San Fransisco, Paradise, Burlesque, Desire}

All the colour's are great, but i'm not sure that I would purchase Celestial, San Fransisco or Paradise as they don't really suit me. It's a shame really, the swatch for Paradise on the Honeybee Gardens website looked really promising, but sadly, it looks nothing like that in real life.

Honeybe Gardnes are bringing out 3, maybe 4, new shades soon!!! Aztec, Bombshell, Superstitious and a mystery shade they are unsure of. I can't wait to buy Aztec!

Real Purity and Nvey Eco Lipstick Swatches

Today my order from Natural Solutions arrived, which I was really excited about as i've been really getting into lipstick's lately. I ordered a bunch of samples of lipsticks from Honeybee Gardens, Real Purity and Nvey Eco, and also a sample of 100% Pure's Foundation. Two of the samples I ordered were out of stock so they refunded me for those within days which was really good, as most places seem to take a while from experience. Any who, I just wanted to show samples of a few for now, the Real Purity and Nvey Eco one's. These colours are so nice, granted, not all of them are practical for me as I have zero social life, so no where to where them, but I love them all the same.

{L-R: RP Hibiscus, RP Coral Berry, RP Tangerine, RP Grape Sherbet, NE #363}

Real Purity Hibiscus nice frosted pink colour, in the pot it looks barbie pink but on the lips it's sheer  and not so bright. It also seems to have a purplish tint to it from the shimmer, but you can't really tell that much when wearing it.

Real Purity Coral Berry is a full on barbie pink, both in the container and on the lips. It reminds me a lot of the MAC lipsticks and is right on trend for lipcolours that everyone seems to wear these days. I actually like this colour a lot although i'm not sure i'd wear it out. It's highly pigmented, glossy, glides on oh so smoothly and has pretty good staying power, although it did rub off a bit after eating.

Real Purity Tangerine is similar to Hibiscus in that it is sheer and somewhat frosted. I Love the colour of this, a peachy orange melon shade.

 Real Purity Grape Sherbet, again a sheer and frosted colour. In the pot it is a gorgeous Mauve-ish colour, but on the lips it appears a bit lighter, more like a frosted grape colour. This also reminds me of a colour MAC would bring out.

Nvey Eco #363, somewhat similar to RP Tnagerine just more pigmented. This colour in the pot is the most beautiful brick red/orange frosted colour, so nice, whereas on the lips it is slightly more orange. This has fairly good staying power but after eating I was just left with an orange line around the edge of my lips which didn't look so good, but i'm sure would be remedied with a layer of lip liner underneath.

I'm very happy with all these lipsticks. Although some of them aren't practical for everyday, they are beautiful colours and both brands have created amazing formula's as far as how smmothly they apply and how hydrated your lips stay after applying.
