Peaches & Cream

Every time this picture pops up on my Pinterest page I find myself staring at it for ages, I just love the pure, neutral simplicity of this makeup look so I just had to find some products to recreate it naturally.

Firstly, we start with the base which would be none other than my beloved rms beauty "Un"-cover up. To use as a base, I take a small chunk and rub it into the back of my hand to warm it up a bit, then I take a sponge applicator and apply it as I normally would foundation, from the center out. I find this to be the best foundation I have ever come across, it blends perfectly, gives amazing coverage and doesn't become cakey or oily, it just looks great. It truly is a perfect product.

Next comes the eyes. I have chosen the Nvey Eco Organic Creative Eye Color System in 5 because the colors are gorgeous and suit the neutral look well. I think any of the colors would suit the look well but I would personally go with 162 or 168 which are the second and fourth colors as these are the most neutral and just apply all over the lid.

Next would I would apply a light lashing of Couleur Caramel Mascara for Long Lashes in Brown as it keeps with the minimal look and also because it is the best natural mascara I have come across so far. One coat would be fine.

I would also add a tiny bit of the white end of Jane Iredale Mineral Makeup Eye Highlighter Pencil to the lower waterline to brighten up the eyes and a little of the pink end just underneath the lower lashline. This makes the eyes look amazing.

For blush I've chosen the Vapour Organic Beauty Aura Multi-Use Blush Classic in Tender as it will give just a hint of peachy flush to the cheeks while still looking natural. I love this type of blush personally as I don't like too much color on my cheeks.

Last but not least, apply a one or two coats of Ilia Beauty Tinted Lip Conditioner in Dizzy for that beautiful kiss me color. This is the best match to the color in the picture that I have found and it will give lips that beautiful, luscious, dewy look.

I think this look would be complete with some eyebrow grooming as well, and maybe some subtle highlighting on the brow bone with rms beauty living luminizer or Ilia Beauty Polka Dots & Moonbeams as they are both great, nourishing products.

I hope you all like these type of post's because I plan on doing more of them in the future and would be happy to find products for anyone looking to recreate a certain look :)

Nude Hued Nails

I don't know about everyone else but for me, when Winter hits I find myself always reaching for darker hued polishes like deep red, violet, royal blue etc. and Summer is the season for brights and pastels, but Spring...Spring is absolutely the time for neutral nails and I have found some great 3-free or better nail polishes in beautiful neutral hues that just sing Spring.

Yep, 5-Free. I didn't know there was any nail polish's that were 5-Free but apparently all Zoya nail polish's are free from Toluene, Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, DBP & Camphor.

I love Priti polish's, i'm not sure if its more because of the cute bottle or what but they are my go to when i'm buying new colors, besides the fact that they are great of course.

I have only bought one Butter London polish so far as they are on the pricier side but it is really good. Great staying power, goes on smooth and good color pay off.

I am yet to try this brand as I only discovered them recently but from what I've read they are fantastic and will definitely be part of my next haul.

I cannot wait for spring to really hit, my street is already lined with beautiful blossoms and scents, we just need the sun to shine and the birds to sing!

Oral Health

I recently stumbled upon a blog called Wellness Mama and I am addicted, Katie has everything you need to know about living a healthy life and I recommend you give it a read. This post is inspired by her post's on Oral Wellness.

I have been using these for a little over a year now and I love them, using these actually makes me want to brush my teeth regularly and they are no different from plastic ones so the transition was easy.

From this post on Wellness Mama, apparently using activated charcoal to brush teeth with actually helps to whiten them. I am yet to try it but am going to buy some this week and see how I go. I can't wait to see the results.

I am yet to try this also as I don't have all the ingredients but it's a simple recipe that I do hope to make soon.

Again, I haven't tried this recipe...yet, but I am curious as i've never used a tooth powder before.

I love to use this for Oil Pulling, which if you are unaware, is where you swish 15ml of oil (preferably organic, cold pressed oil) around in your mouth for 20 minutes first thing in the morning before you eat or drink anything. This has numerous health benefits, and is especially good for gum disease and general dental health. Since doing this I have noticed my gums don't bleed as much when I brush and my teeth aren't as sensitive. More detailed information on this here.

Another thing I read about on Wellness Mama, this is a blend of essential oils specially formulated to kill bacteria in the mouth.

Over the next few weeks I will purchase the things I need to make these recipes and I will do before and after shots of my teeth.

Other than these tips, a diet of healthy, organic wholefoods and avoiding fluoride will help to keep your teeth and gums healthy.
